The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will returns to its Chicago home – the landmark Auditorium Theatre at 50 E. Ida B. Wells Drive – for its 55th engagement, with six dynamic performances, April 17-21, 2024. Tickets, starting at $40, are now on sale at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater | Auditorium Theatre.

The 2024–25 Season includes six mainstage opera productions along with concert presentations including a one-night-only performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on October 26, honoring the work's 200th anniversary and, in the summer of 2025, a special Pride Concert celebrating San Francisco's LGBTQIA+ community.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s annual run at The Kennedy Center is consistently a highlight of the winter season, and this year is no exception. This year the company brings three programs to D.C., all including Mr. Ailey’s 1960 classic Revelations, representing the best of recent revivals and new works. 

The Decemberists will head out on an expansive North American tour with both spring and summer legs. The tour kicks off on April 30th in Kingston, NY at the Ulster Performing Arts Center and wraps up in August on the West Coast. Highlights include the Brooklyn Paramount Theater on May 3rd, the Salt Shed in Chicago on May 21st.

He was awarded with his first Oscar in 1995 for 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' from the Lion King. Other EGOT winners include Viola Davis, Whoopi Goldberg, Marvin Hamlisch, Helen Hayes, Alan Menken, Rita Moreno, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.

Aya Yasuda: A dancer from Japan with 14 years of experience in Paris. She began ballet at the age of 8 and entered the Ballet National de Marseille in France at 18. She performed as a dancer in the Broadway musical 'The King and I' at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris in 2014, in the opening ceremony of 'UEFA EURO 2016,' and in the opening ceremony of the 'Red Sea International Film Festival' in Saudi Arabia in 2023. From 2017 to 2019, she actively participated in opera productions such as 'My Fair Lady,' 'Un bal masqué,' and 'Les noces de Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro)“ at opera theaters in France and the Netherlands. One of her notable works was as the original dancer in the Broadway musical 'The Lion King' (2021-2023) at the Paris Mogador Theatre.

Broadway Records Founder Van Dean is set to launch a new label called Center Stage Records, expanding his influence in the entertainment industry.

The 2024 Governors Awards took place on January 9, where Mel Brooks was honored with an Honorary Oscar for his legacy of work. Prior to being presented with the award,  Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane took the stage to give a speech, and then performed a medly of songs from The Producers, including The King of Old Broadway and I Want to Be a Producer.
