National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF), the longest consecutively producing theatre in the United States and the world's oldest continuously operating Yiddish theatre company, today launched its Spring-Summer 2018 season, including the American premiere of Fiddler on The Roof in Yiddish.

The dynamic 26th annual season continues at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts with nonstop concerts, shows and holiday presentations for every audience and all entertainment preferences throughout December and January:

The New York Philharmonic will present Bernstein's Philharmonic: A Centennial Festival, October 25-November 14, 2017,celebrating the former Philharmonic Music Director and Laureate Conductor on the centennial of his birth. The festival - which is part of the worldwide salute to the legacy of the renowned composer, conductor, pianist, and educator - will center on Bernstein's symphonic cycle, conducted by Alan Gilbert and Leonard Slatkin, complemented by other Bernstein works as well as by music by composers he admired and championed. In addition, the Philharmonic will present a Young People's Concert - the series that Bernstein famously brought to national attention through the television broadcasts - titled Inspirations and Tributes: "Celebrating Leonard Bernstein," conducted by Leonard Slatkin and featuring pianist Makoto Ozone on November 11. A number of other events - ranging from a marathon of Bernstein's Mahler recordings to a partnership with Harvard and University of Michigan to explore Bernstein as an educator and conductor - complement the concerts throughout the centennial season. Bernstein served as the Philharmonic's Music Director from 1958 to 1969, when he was named Laureate Conductor, a title he held until his death in 1990.

On Her Shoulders is pleased to present a staged reading of THE CAMP by Griselda Gambaro, directed by Kristin Heckler on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Doors open at 6:45pm for a prompt start at 7:00pm with The Play in Context Introduction by Melody Brooks, who situates the script in its historical time and place.

Sloan Foundation, announced the winners: Michael Almereyda's Marjorie Prime won the Feature Film Prize; Adam Benic's Levittown (Sundance Institute | Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Episodic Storytelling Grant); Darcy Brislin and Dyana Winkler's Bell (Sundance Institute | Sloan Lab Fellowship); and Jamie Dawson and Howard Gertler's Untitled Smallpox Eradication Project (Sundance Institute | Sloan Commissioning Grant).

Dashing and debonair, Bond's movie themes are instantly recognizable, evoking international intrigue, glamour and suspense. Making this concert especially memorable are vocalist Scott Coulter and two-time Grammy Award-winner Sheena Easton, featured singer on the James Bond soundtrack, “For Your Eyes Only.” With more than 20 million records worldwide, Easton joins the Symphony to seduce the audience into the world of “Goldfinger,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “A View to a Kill,” “Skyfall” and more. The concert also includes “Diamonds are Forever,” “For Your Eyes Only” and “spy” songs from “Mission Impossible,” “Austin Powers,” “Dick Tracy,” “Pink Panther” and “Charlie's Angels.” And that's just a sampling!

Tome Cousin is an interdisciplinary artist who has molded an award winning international career that includes collaboration and performance on Broadway, television, film, dance, theater, music, photography, and literature. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Dance History and Choreography and a Masters of Fine Art in New Media Art and Performance. He is an Associate Professor of Dance at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
