Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2019-2020 season at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. The season will feature the regional premieres of the 2015 Tony Award winning musical, Fun Home, the 2019 Outer Critics Circle and Drama League nominated musical, Head Over Heels, and a new twist on the Nunsense holiday special, Nuncrackers. In addition, the season will include the 2017 Tony Award nominated play, Six Degrees of Separation. Uptown Players will also present two bonus add-on shows to its season lineup: the world premiere of the latest play (based on the hit film) from Del Shores, A Very Sordid Wedding and Uptown Players' annual fundraising production, Broadway Our Way.

Outfest – the Los Angeles based non-profit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen – today announced its 2019 Achievement Award recipient, Nisha Ganatra, and its galas, including Opening and Closing Night, for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's premiere LGBTQ festival will be held July 18-28, 2019.

The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2019-2020 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Thursday, May 9, 2019. The season includes our two full subscription series: Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations with a total of four concerts; and the Family Theatre Series with four productions and the accompanying immersive children's program Eisemann Extras. In addition we have 16 diverse productions ranging from superstar Mandy Patinkin to Asleep At The Wheel on their 50th Anniversary Tour and America's Got Talent favorite, deaf singer Mandy Harvey all returning to the Eisemann Center this season.

The Santa Fe Opera's General Director Robert K. Meya today announced repertory and casting for the company's exciting 64th Season in 2020. On the panel joining Meya for the announcement were the President of the Board of Directors Susan G. Marineau, Andrea Fellows Walters, Director of Community Engagement, and Cori Ellison, the company's first, recently appointed Dramaturg.

The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) celebrates Jerry Seinfeld's 50th show in his residency at the Beacon Theatre with tomorrow's 9:30pm performance. Seinfeld began this overwhelmingly successful residency in 2016, and continued it throughout 2017 before resuming in January 2019. Seinfeld currently holds the record for the most comedy shows at The Beacon, and is catching up to the total performance numbers of other legendary Beacon Theatre mainstays, including Allman Brothers Band and Steely Dan, who have 238 and 60 performances, respectively. Additional performances as part of the Seinfeld residency have been announced through November 2019.

The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

Nicole Martinez, operating director of The Bridge, producer/director Jessica Farr, and playwright Caleb Scott will be presenting an evening of local bands, drag performances, and a sneak peek of the show, TOBI or The Memory Machines, a futuristic play with songs, opening later this Fall at The Bridge. The evening will feature musical acts by The Memory Machines (Afrobeta), Haute Tension, and Shira Lee. Drag performances will happen throughout with acts to be announced. A sneak peek of the show will be performed live and will feature innovative tech elements to be showcased in the production. The event will be emceed by Farr and Scott, and an OPEN BAR will be available to all guests. Entry to this evening of live music and theatre is only $25 per person.
