The 2018 Margaret Mead Film Festival—the internationally recognized premier platform for documentary films—will screen 55 outstanding films representing 39 countries and host special events and performances from Thursday, October 18, through Sunday, October 21, at the American Museum of Natural History. Elaine Crombie (Black Comedy), Nicholas Denton (Wild) Kamil Ellis (Nowhere Boys), Tahlee Fereday (Fallen), Tony Nikolakopoulos (Wentworth) and Calen Tassone (Red Dog), star in the world premiere of Astroman, Albert Belz's irresistibly funny and heart-warming love letter to the `80s.

Casting and tour dates have been announced for the 2018-19 touring season of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.  The cast will be led by Jonathan Cable (Nick Massi), Eric Chambliss (Bob Gaudio), Corey Greenan (Tommy DeVito) and Jonny Wexler (Frankie Valli) as The Four Seasons.

EgoPo Classic Theater announces their 2018-19 Season: Theater of South Africa, celebrating great dramatic works of South Africa and highlighting the remarkable transformation from apartheid to democracy. The season will begin with a South African version of Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under the Elms, as created and performed by Abrahamse and Meyer Productions from Cape Town, South Africa, in partnership with Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and their Performing Arts Department. EgoPo's mainstage season launches with A Human Being Died That Night, a gripping account of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission by psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela; followed by Three Sisters Two by Reza de Wet, a Chekhov sequel confronting the fall of privileged class; and concluding with two plays in rotation repertory: "Master Harold"…and the Boys by Athol Fugard and Egoli by Matsemela Manaka (co-produced with Theatre in the X), shining a light on two vastly different experiences under apartheid.

NBC Sports will present a combined 21 regular-season and postseason games as part of the network's comprehensive coverage of the upcoming 2018 NFL season. Coverage begins with NFL Kickoff 2018 one week from today, as the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles begin their title defense against the Atlanta Falcons from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Coverage begins on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by a new earlier kickoff time at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The Muny's first rainout of its historical centennial season took place during the Saturday, July 14 performance of the world regional premiere of Jersey Boys. While Mother Nature had plans of her own, that did not stop Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons from treating Muny-goers to a special accapella rendition of the chart-topping hit "Sherry." On Sunday June 10th the Tony Night at the Palm Viewing Party was hosted by Christian Hoff, 2006 Tony Winner, Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Jersey Boys. The event benefitted The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by Jim Valvano in 1993.

This month, Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, celebrates LGBTQ Pride with an exciting lineup featuring some of the brightest talent from Broadway, cabaret, pop charts and beyond. A fabulous Pride-themed cocktail menu will feature daily specialty beverages, with proceeds benefitting Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights Aids.

The imaginative and increasingly important Key Pianists concert series, founded by pianist Terry Eder in 2015, embarks on its fourth season with a recital by Norman Krieger, who 'owns a world of technique' (Los Angeles Times), on Wednesday evening, October 17, 2018 at 8 pm at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. His program will include Brahms' Sonata in C Major and Beethoven's Sonata in D minor, as well as works by Chopin, Lazaroff, and Fine. On Tuesday evening, February 26, 2019 at 8 pm, pianist Jason Hardink-dubbed 'a pianist of such extraordinary power-and memory-that he is difficult to forget' by ConcertoNet's Harry Rolnick (14 Dec 2015)-will give a recital of 19th- and 20th-century gems by Eckardt, Debussy, Liszt, Xenakis, and Messiaen. To close out the season, series founder Terry Eder, noted for her 'fascinating [performances] full of life and risk' (New York Concert Review, Summer 2006), performs Schubert's Impromptu in F Minor, Op. 142, No. 1 and Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 28, as well as works by Debussy, Dohnanyi, and Kodaly.
