Full casting has been announced for the special 10th anniversary tour of American Idiot - the ground breaking Tony award-winning rock musical with music by punk-pop and multi Grammy award-winning band Green Day. Leading the cast is: Waterloo Road's Tom Milner as Johnny; 2013's X Factor third place runner-up Luke Friend as St Jimmy; and 2016 X Factor finalist Sam Lavery as Whatsername.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents the World Premiere production of Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower performed by the 2017/18 Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble this July 19-22, 2018 in the Stiemke Studio.  PTI is an advanced actor-training program for students in 8th-12th grade who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a professional theater artist.   The 2017/18 PTI ensemble features sixteen students hailing from fourteen different high schools who received free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, culminating in this capstone performance  of Lost Girl where they will be employed as paid, professional actors.

Mean Girls opened tonight, Sunday, April 8, at the August Wilson Theatre. The musical features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

Imagine Ballet Theatre, an Ogden-based ballet company, is bringing spring to the stage of Peery's Egyptian Theatre, with their whimsical  production of Fairyopolis, Mad Rush, Bartok Dances and a special  performance by PALS on April 27and 28, 2018. According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson will star in Taika Waititi's upcoming film JoJo Rabbit. The movie is the story of a young boy in Hitler's army who learns that his mom is hiding a Jewish boy in the house. Taika Waititi wrote and will direct the film and will also star as the boy's imaginary friend who is Adolf Hitler.
