Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), presents the 28th annual summer festival of American tap and percussive dance, Rhythm World, featuring three generations of foot drummers including tap masters Dianne 'Lady Di' Walker and Sam Weber, STOMP cast members, many of Chicago's finest including, Star Dixon and Martin 'Tre' Dumas, and CHRP's Artist in Residence, Dani Borak leading Stone Soup Rhythms. Intensive educational programs will be offered in the Fine Arts Building and the American Rhythm Center, July 16-22. Performances take place July16-18, at the Jazz Showcase, Curtis Hall and the Polk Bros Performance Lawns at Navy Pier, with culminating concerts, JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance, on July 20 and 21, at the Studebaker Theater featuring a host of virtuoso soloists and ensembles showcasing a mix of audience favorites and world premieres.

Toni Braxton, the multi-platinum 7-time Grammy Award®-winning icon of music, film, Broadway, and television, announces the release of her 9th studio album, SEX & CIGARETTES, today via Def Jam Recordings. Watford Palace Theatre today announces that Amy Marston will play Sylvia Gellburg alongside the previously announced Clara Francis (Harriet), Andrew Hall (Stanton Case), Michael Higgs (Dr Harry Hyman), Rebecca Lacey (Margaret Hyman) and Michael Matus (Philip Gellburg) in Arthur Miller's play Broken Glass, which opens 80 years after the events of Kristallnacht, leading up to the Second World War. Charlotte Emmerson has regretfully had to withdraw from the production due to unforeseen circumstances. Broken Glass opens at Watford Palace Theatre on 8 March and runs until 24 March.

WAM Theatre embarks on its ninth season with the announcement of two new members of the WAM Leadership Team and three new members of its Board of Directors. Talya Kingston has been named Associate Artistic Director, and Max Galdos-Shapiro will join WAM as General Manager. Together with Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and Philanthropy and Outreach Coordinator Gwendolyn Tunnicliffe, they comprise the leadership team at WAM Theatre. Newly appointed to WAM's Board of Directors are Lynn Festa, Wendy Healey, and Arwen Lowbridge.

From February 16 to March 5, The Morningside Players will present Carol Carter and Edythe Jason in 'Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters' First 100 Years' by Emily Mann, adapted from the book by Sarah H.
