Heritage Music Group, started 2018 with a resounding boom taking away five GRAMMY wins this year from its recently acquired publishing catalogue. Among those wins are R&B Album of The Year (Bruno Mars "24K Magic"); Song of The Year (Bruno Mars "That's What I Like"); Best R&B Song of The Year (Bruno Mars "That's What I Like).

Heritage Music Group is the brainchild of Jovan Dawkins, a member of the celebrated three-man production company the Co-Captains whose credits include multiple currently charting songs, including the title track of Tank's new album "Savage", Tamar Braxton's "My Forever", and Gospel Music's Tye Tribett and his #1 album entitled "The Bloody Win."

Heritage hired GRAMMY-winning engineer and producer Paul Ring as their President of Business Operations. Ring has had a long tenure of success as President of two prominent record companies that have been distributed exclusively through Universal Music Group over the past 23 years.

Ring's tenure began in 1995 as President of Private Eye Records that had legendary artists such as Rick James, Cameo Gap Band and James Brown. In 2000, he launched Bungalo Records, which has sustained a rich and diverse history of great artists and producers including Rodney Jerkins, DJ Quik and Patti LaBelle.

Heritage's GRAMMY wins are the fruit of a major catalogue purchase by Dawkins, the CEO. The acquisition included award-winning titles from Bruno Mars and Rihanna, "No Air" featuring Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks, the new single "Filthy" from Justin Timberlake, and "How You Gonna Act Like That" from Tyreese. The full slate is touted as one of the most significant collections acquired in recent times.

Heritage is launching their record division with several high-powered signings that will be announced next month.

Heritage CEO Jovan Dawkins stated that "Heritage has been set up to bring their artists tremendous success by integrating high-end brandingopportunities along with movie soundtrack placements along with top of the line distribution through Universal Music Distribution." Heritage will afford their artist synch placement opportunities with vehicles that are controlled by Dawkins and the company as part of their music supervision operations.

Producer, Songwriter, Film Composer and multi-instrumentalist Jovan Dawkins credits his creativity, discipline and awareness to his upbringing and experiences in the church throughout his life.

Hailing from a family of musicians and singers, the early impact of music on his life continues today via his investments and creations with his production team the Co-Captains.The mission of Heritage Music Group is to preserve great music as well as support songwriters and producers, helping to provide them the tools and resources aimed at creating generational income opportunities via their music.
