TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will present actor/activist Shakina (NBC's “Connecting,” NBC's “Quantum Leap,” Hulu's “Difficult People”) in Songs and Stories with Shakina: A Musical TheatreWorks Fundraiser and Party, a fun-filled night of transcendent tunes, a dazzling dance party, and a sneak peek at the future of musical theatre.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will kick off its 20th Anniversary New Works Festival with Before the Ink Dries: A Special TheatreWorks Fundraiser with David Henry Hwang and Rajiv Joseph.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2023–2024 Theater season, featuring thrilling Broadway hits and the fifth season of its critically-acclaimed, star-studded Broadway Center Stage series.

The Charleston Gaillard Center announced its largest season ever for the 2023–2024 programming year with more than 40 shows spanning dance, music, theater, comedy, arts festivals, and family programming from leading local, national, and international artists and organizations.

Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. Robert Patrick, aka Robert Patrick O'Connor, writer of poems, lyrics, short stories, novels, and a pioneering playwright known for his contributions to Off-Off Broadway and the Caffe Cino has passed away at the age of 85. He died in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles on April 23, 2023 (407 years to the day after Shakespeare's death).
