After more than 15 years with Oak Park Festival Theatre, Jack Hickey will be stepping down as Artistic Director on March 1, 2018. Jack has served as Artistic Director of the Company since 2004, where he has acted in or directed over 25 productions, and overseen the production of more than 40 shows. Jack will now serve as Artistic Director Emeritus.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra announces the appointment of Lahav Shani as its Music Director, starting from the orchestra's 2020-2021 season. For the 2019-20 season he will have the title Music Director Designate. The Pacific Standard Time Festival: Live Art LA/LA, a celebration of performance art presented as part of the Getty-led initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, will run from January 11 through 21, 2018. Organized by REDCAT, CalArts' Center for Contemporary Arts, in collaboration with partner organizations throughout the city, the 11-day festival will feature more than 75 works by Latin American and Latino artists, performed at more than 20 indoor and outdoor spaces throughout greater Los Angeles. BroadwayWorld has previously reported that four actresses have filed civil suits against Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre Company and it's artistic director Albert Schultz. Schultz has since resigned. Soulpepper has released two statements following this news, one from the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and one from the artists.
