From Little League to the Big Apple, from the glory that was Spain to the glamour that is Cleveland, from Charles Dickens to David Hare, the 2009-2010 Eichelberger Loft Season of The Human Race Theatre Company will present loads of laughs, scores of songs, and even titillate the intellect a bit.

James Macdonald returns to the Almeida to direct the world premiere of Christopher Hampton's new version of Ödön von Horváth's Judgment Day. Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.

Unlike our Spring 2008 auditions where we cast three Resident Group teams that have become a permanent part of PHIT this time we will be auditioning for two very special Fringe projects that we are excited to get off the ground. You are free to audition for just one production, or to audition for both.

London's National Theater has unveiled their upcoming list of productions, including a premiere by David Hare.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present the first major New York revival of Irwin Shaw's Bury the Dead, directed by Joe Calarco, beginning performances Friday, October 31, at 220 East 4 Street, between Avenues A and B (6 to Astor Place, W/N to 8th Street or F/V to Second Avenue). The opening has been scheduled for Sunday, November 9, at 3pm.
