GRAMMY-nominated vocal quartet New York Polyphony today announces the release of its latest album Peñalosa - Lamentationes, outFriday, September 6, 2019 on BIS Records (BIS-2407 SACD). The album features rarely heard works from late 15th-century and early 16th-century Spanish composers Francisco de Penalosa, Pedro de Escobar, and Francisco Guerrero, including world premiere recordings of Peñalosa's Lamentations and movements of his Missa L'homme arme.

Cinema/Chicago Announces 2019 Free Summer Screenings Program

Cinema/Chicago today announced its annual free Summer Screenings Program with a selection of 17 feature films and one short film from around the world exploring the theme of adventure. All screenings are free and open to the public and take place on Wednesdays at 6:30pm from May 29 through October 2, 2019 at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington Street, 2nd Floor) in the Claudia Cassidy Theater. FST Announces 11th Annual Sarasota Improv Festival

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is proud to announce that the Annual Sarasota Improv Festival will return for its 11th year on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, 2019. Since its founding by Rebecca Hopkins in 2009, the Sarasota Improv Festival has become a destination event, and the premier Festival of its kind in the Southeastern United States.
