Lincoln Square announces its October lineup of events starting with New York City's largest holiday festival, Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square. The event will take place on Monday, November 29, 2010. Now in its 11th year, Winter's Eve features free entertainment, food tastings, family fun and live music along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street. Tens of thousands of people flock to Lincoln Square on the first Monday after Thanksgiving to enjoy great food, more than 20 free musical and dance performances, children's activities, ice-sculpting, and special shopping promotions at area retailers. To kick off the evening's festivities, we will once again host a neighborhood tree lighting ceremony at Dante Park at Broadway and 63rd Street at 5:30pm.

SBCC Theatre Arts Department will begin the fall with an intriguing drama by Sophie Treadwell, MACHINAL. It will run October 20-November 6, 2010 in the intimate Interim Theatre on SBCC's West Campus.

Performances run April 16 - May 1, 2010 in the Brown Theater of the Wortham Theater Center. Opera News calls Richard Jones's production of The Queen of Spades, originally created for Welsh National Opera 'telling theatricality.' London's Observer wrote 'Once every few seasons, a production gets pretty much everything right. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced the lineup of the company's 43rd subscription season today. Running from September 2009 to June 2010, the season welcomes some of the best American and international artists to San Francisco and celebrates the 100th anniversary of A.C.T.'s historic theater.

The cast has been announced for the Westchester Broadway Theatre production of FUNNY GIRL, which runs from March 26, 2009 - June 14, 2009 with an official press opening on April 4, 2009.

On Monday, October 27th, at 8:00pm the New Globe Theater presents SHAKESPEARE IN THE BRAVE NEW WORLD (from the Colonies to Bart Simpson) at NYU Skirball Center.
