First Stage has announced its safe and triumphant return to live theater performances in the 2021/22 season. First Stage has announced the full 35th season kicking off in November at the Marcus Center's Todd Wehr Theater with the perennial and beloved holiday favorite, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS.

Metro Theater Company has named five distinguished professionals to its board of directors and four new staff to its existing team. The nationally recognized TYA company, which reaches tens of thousands of St. Louis-area students and families each year, has also appointed two celebrated St. Louis theatre performers/directors as associate artists.

The season continues with Mat Smart's “Naperville” directed by Naebig (Jan. 27-Feb. 27), and Richard Bean's “One Man Two Guvnors” an English adaptation of “The Servant of Two Masters (Italian: Il servitore di due padroni)” directed by Canaday Howard (April 28-May 29).

Exhibitions by the Icelandic artist Hreinn Fridfinnsson, Cuban American Jorge Pardo, and Miami-based Venezuelan American Loriel Beltrán offer viewers comprehensive looks at the practices of three of the most compelling artists—both local and international—working today.

The coordination of the three wind soloists was impeccable.

He recounts some of the messier details of his life, engaging in an agitated yet charmingly witty and woozy dialogue with himself. This is the premise of a short play by J.B. Heaps titled “Go Gently Into the Night,” one of six that will be presented online by the Phillips' Mill Community Association on June 12, at 7 p.m.

The Impulse! 60 series will kick off on May 14 with two of the four releases that launched the label known as The House That Trane Built, in 1961: Ray Charles’ singular and long-out-of-print Genius + Soul = Jazz and Gil Evans Orchestra’s superb Out of the Cool. Charles’ album will also be made available digitally for the first time in years.

The quintessential performing arts venue, providing performing arts entertainment to the Greater Maine region since 1936, presents an eclectic offering for the summer of 2021, featuring an open house, theatrical productions, comedy and several fundraisers. 

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced immersive outdoor experiences for summer 2021, with a casting sneak-peek. BTG will be releasing a complete season cast announcement at a later date. Excitement is in the air as The Winter Park Playhouse announces the six winning selections for the 4th annual Florida Fesival of New Musicals now scheduled for June 24 - 27, 2021. The Festival, which showcases new musical theatre works, is one of very few in the nation and certainly the only one of its kind in the Southeast region.
