Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 210th season with the uproarious Ken Ludwig's A COMEDY OF TENORS. Directed by and starring Frank Ferrante, this over-top-top comedy from Tony Winner Ken Ludwig begins previews on January 15th, opens on January 23rd, and runs through March 3rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

A fun, new musical adaptation of an audience favorite comes to First Stage this holiday season. Created by the talented husband/wife team of Jahnna Beecham (Playwright/Lyricist) and Malcolm Hillgartner (Composer/Lyricist) and based on the play by Barbara Robinson, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL is filled with catchy,'60s-inspired original music and a delightful story that both young and old will enjoy. The horrible Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. The entire town panics when these rowdy six siblings are cast in the church's annual Christmas pageant. It's up to good-hearted Mrs. Bradley to help the Herdmans - and the rest of the town - discover the true meaning of Christmas before it's too late. Silent night? Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) will, from today, November 12, through Thursday, November 15, accept entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the New York premiere production of Noura, from 9 Parts of Desire playwright and actor Heather Raffo and director Joanna Settle. The Washington Post deemed this "epic-feeling, nearly searing portrait of a woman torn between cultures and family" the "best premiere of the Women's Voices Theater Festival" when it made its world premiere in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. Produced in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company, it will be performed at Playwrights Horizons from November 27 to December 30. Playwrights Horizons created Live for Five in 2007 as part of their Arts Access program to reach out to those who may not be able to afford the cost of a full-price theater ticket. Since its inception, over 3,000 theatergoers have been able to attend the theater thanks to the initiative.

Pulse Films and Paramount Television have announced today a deal to option the rights to journalist Dan Hancox's acclaimed non-fiction book Inner City Pressure for Television. The project is set to be produced by Pulse Films' Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa and Sam Bridger. HarperCollins published the book in May of this year.

Mother and daughter duo Rafaella Hutchinson and Sally George are to be the first ever family pairing to star as the reclusive Little Voice and meddling mother Mari in Jim Cartwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. The new production coming to Park Theatre, directed by Tom Latter and Associate directed by Anita Dobson, will also feature Linford Johnson, Kevin McMonagle, Jamie-Rose Monk and Shaun Prendergast in the much-beloved story of an undiscovered and introverted virtuoso thrust into the spotlight.

The Drama League has announced that film, television, and theater icon Nathan Lane is the Honoree for the organization's 35th Annual Benefit Gala: A Musical Celebration of Broadway.

On Day 17 of 30 Days of Tony, we celebrate a Tony-winning veteran of stage and screen who is nominated once again this year for his portrayal of Roy Cohn in the Broadway revival of Angels In America, Nathan Lane. 

Nathan Lane, currently starring in Angels in America, appeared on last night's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He shared his take on the Met Gala theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. He also talked about channeling 'the worst human being,' Roy Cohn, in his Tony-nominated Broadway play Angels in America and how he's inadvertently paying Stormy Daniels' hush money.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for James Macdonald's new revival of William Congreve's Restoration comedy masterpiece The Way of The World. Haydn Gwynne will be playing the role of Lady Wishfort, replacing Linda Bassett who has sadly had to withdraw from the production before the start of rehearsals for personal reasons.

Nathan Lane appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, where he talked about his upcoming role in Angels in America. Lane also gave his well wishes to Billy Eichner who will be voicing Timon in the upcoming Lion King film.

Final casting has been announced for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Mamma Mia!, Friday, July 28, at 8 PM, Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM. The new cast members are Tisha Campbell-Martin as Tanya, Hamish Linklater as Harry and Steven Weber as Bill.
