Musical legends Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox / Dave Stewart p/k/a Eurythmics, Ernie Isley / Marvin Isley / O'Kelly Isley / Ronald Isley / Rudolph Isley / Chris Jasper p/k/a The Isley Brothers, Steve Miller, Chad Hugo / Pharrell Williams p/k/a The Neptunes, Rick Nowels and William “Mickey” Stevenson will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization's 51st Annual Induction and Awards Dinner. These legendary songwriters wrote mega-hits such as, 'Vision of Love,”  “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Shout,” “The Joker,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Dancing In The Street.” The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 11th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Additional special award honorees will be announced soon.

The Orleans Showroom will bring top musical acts to The Orleans Hotel and Casino in February, including legendary singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka, Alan Tam tribute artist Aking Zhang and celebrated rock band Loverboy. February entertainment will also feature free live entertainment at Bourbon Street Lounge, Bailiwick All American Pub + Eatery  and Prime Rib Loft throughout the month.

As Little Steven looks back on his early solo career with the upcoming boxed set, RockNRoll Rebel – The Early Work, the creatively restless Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is simultaneously looking forward with a slew of new releases including a theatrical, Gene Kelly-inspired video for his song “Love Again” from his latest album, Summer Of Sorcery, and an exuberant live performance of Bruce Springsteen's “Tucson Train.” Leading up to the December 6 release of the boxed set, Little Steven aka Steven Van Zandt has been steadily releasing digital deluxe editions of the albums included over the last few weeks and today has made available his 1989 album, Revolution, which includes two rare mixes of the title track. 

The Center for the Arts at George Mason University continues the 2019/20 season this November and December with an array of dance, theater, opera, and music from around the world through programs from Great Performances at Mason, the Family Series, as well as signature events from Mason's College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Little Steven has opened the doors on his personal archive of recordings to present an in-depth look at his solo career with a brand new boxed set. RockNRoll Rebel – The Early Work (Wicked Cool/UMe) collects the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's solo work from 1973-1999 – including Artists United Against Apartheid's landmark 1985 LP, Sun City – together with 51 bonus tracks spanning previously unreleased demos, B-sides, rehearsals, outtakes, classic concert performances, and a number of never-before-heard Steven Van Zandt compositions. Calgary's thriving theatre season officially got under way this September with the opening of Stage West's a?oeThere Goes The Bridea??. Broadway World has compiled a list of some of the exciting upcoming shows that Calgarians and visitors can look forward to in this 2019/2020 season.

The Muny announced today that single tickets for the first season of their second century are now available. Tickets can be purchased online at muny.org, by phone at (314) 534-1111, or in person at The Muny Box Office, open 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Staring June 1, Muny Box Office hours will extend to 9am-9pm daily. The Muny proudly celebrates its 101st season in Forest Park this summer.

Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) will present To Write Miami, a series of readings by Miami authors that explores the city's fascinating relationship with literature. Participating writers include Lynne Barrett, Scott P. Cunningham, John Dufresne, Patricia Engel, Fabienne Josaphat, Pedro Medina Leon, Legna Rodriguez Iglesias, Les Standiford,and Hernan Vera Álvarez. Events will take place the last Wednesday of every month from April through October, with an additional activity on May 15. The eight readings will be held at Soya e Pomodoro restaurant in Downtown Miami and they are free and open to the public.

The Muny announced today that season tickets for their 2019 summer season will be available beginning at 9am Friday, March 8.

BroadwayWorld previously reported last year that an all-female production of David Mamet's play Glengarry Glen Ross was in the works.

The McCallum Theatre presents The Lettermen on Sunday, February 24, at 3:00pm. Eighteen international Gold records and scores of top singles, including "The Way You Look Tonight" and "When I Fall in Love," attest to The Lettermen's enduring popularity.The Lettermen Are Tony Butala, Donovan Tea and Bobby Poynton.  The vision for The Lettermen was of three strong soloists with the showmanship to entertain an audience, and the discipline needed to be group singers. The sound they came up with was a sound between the big band vocal groups and the early R&B groups.

Nearly 90 years ago, on the final Saturday in 1929, a group of 51 men and women took the stage at Central High School and gave Grand Rapids the best Christmas present of all, the gift of music.

A holiday tradition at McCallum Theatre, Colors of Christmas returns on Friday, December 7, at 8:00pm with a new line-up of stars for a sparkling evening of holiday music and classics backed up by a 12-piece band and a spectacular choir. Antaeus Theatre Company opens its 2018-19 season with an epic drama about a Southern family in crisis directed by Cameron Watson (award-winning Antaeus productions of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Picnic, Top Girls).
