Today, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre announced that Deena Payne is the first of an exciting cast line up to be announced for the in-house production of Amanda Whittington's LADIES' DAY from Friday 13 - Saturday 28 July 2018.

Two world-class Grammy Award-winning artists, Elvis Costello and Angelique Kidjo join Patti Smith, Gruff Rhys, Passenger and Billy Bragg as headline music acts at this year's Festival of Voice (7-17 June, across Cardiff). Elvis Costello & The Imposters (17 June) will close this year's 11-day festival at Wales Millennium Centre, with the skilled wordsmith and unique vocalist covering everything from politics to love songs.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) continues its 2017-2018 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell (based on the Victor Hugo Novel and songs from the Disney film), musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Michelle Elkin and directed by Misti B. Wills. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Performances are set to begin Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2018 for 11 performances only through Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.

92nd Street Y inaugurates three engaging new series - Chamber Orchestras, a Vocal Series, and Garrick Ohlsson: Brahms Exploration - ushering in a host of original concepts, artists, compositions, and collaborations, in keeping with 92Y's enduring traditions of cultural discovery, intellectual curiosity, and artistic experimentation.  Additionally, 92Y commences Inflection, its first interdisciplinary festival, a six-concert exploration of music in relation to other art forms, including spoken word, photography, sculpture, and dance.  This season also features the World Premieres of Phyllis's Portrait by Sergio Assad and Jonathan Berger's new opera Leonardo, the US premiere of a symphony by Hans Rott, the New York premieres of Wynton Marsalis's new work for solo violin, a new string quartet by Martin Bresnick, and Andreia Pinto Correia's String Quartet No. 1 "Unvanquished Space"; five major international artists making their 92Y performance debuts: Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov, German cellist Alban Gerhardt, Bulgarian violinist Gergana Gergova, the Danish String Quartet, and the Artemis String Quartet; several young musicians also give their 92Y debut performances in the pristine acoustics of Buttenwieser Hall for the Soundspace Series: Jessica Xylina Osborne, Einav Yarden, Conrad Tao (with violinist Stefan Jackiw), the Horszowski Trio, Juho Pohjonen, and Orion Weiss.

The San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) released the detailed performance schedule for the 2018 Program today. Forty different artist ensembles and companies will present their work exclusively at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) from May 24 - June 3. Early Bird Tickets will go on sale for $15 on Thursday March 1.

The weekend affords opportunities to see the plays individually or in combination. The solo piece was written and is performed by Jen Danby. The duo shows were written and are performed by Jen Danby and Daniel Delano. This is an AEA showcase production.

The Broadway musical, I Have a Dream, first debuted in 1976 with Billy Dee William playing Dr. King. The play portrays the life of Dr. King and important moments of the civil rights movement through song and dance. Written by Josh Greenfield and directed by veteran actor Herman LeVern Jones of TheatreSouth, the production has toured internationally. It includes many gospel songs from the Civil Rights Movement, including We Shall Overcome and Free at Last to be performed by professional soloists and the Fresh Start Church Gospel Choir of Glen Burnie.
