Today, Falls announced his intention to step down next summer at the completion of the current 2021/2022 Season.

Invictus Theatre Company Announces 2021-22 Season

Invictus Theatre Company today announced its fifth season of plays, which will open with Shakespeare’s HAMLET, to run October 21 through November 21, 2021. The season will include the 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner RUINED, by Lynn Nottage, from February 17 to March 20; and Edward Albee’s WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF from May 12 to June 12.

Join in for The 39th Annual Mermaid Parade on Sunday, September 12, 2021! The parade kicks off at 1pm (rain or shine) on West 21st and Surf Avenue and proceeds on Surf Avenue to West 10th, then heads south to the Boardwalk and then west back to its ending point at Steeplechase Plaza on the Boardwalk.

It was just announced by the Pulitzer Prize organization that Katori Hall's The Hot Wing King has officially won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This year's finalists included Circle Jerk by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley and Stew by Zora Howard.

Bishop Arts Theatre Presents MILMA'S TALE by Pulitzer Prize-Winner Lynn Nottage

Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) is partnering with Portland, Oregon’s Profile Theatre to bring the audio version of Lynn Nottage’s Mlima’s Tale to Dallas audiences. Ms. Nottage is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, one for her script Ruined in 2009, the other for Sweat in 2017. Production dates for the audio play will run April 12 – May 8, 2021, and can be accessed on the BATC website.

Trinity Rep continues its 2019-20 Season with Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Sweat by Lynn Nottage. This Broadway hit is the story of the unintended consequences of community without opportunity. It is set during the Great Recession and in the years leading up to it in Reading, Pennsylvania, while friends try to stay afloat as their industrial jobs begin to disappear. This relevant and timely topic shines a light on American workers that are often forgotten.
