Circle Theatre announces the fourth show of their 2018 Season: Sarah Ruhl's, Stage Kiss. As previously announced, Circle's original fourth show (Out of the Mouth of Babes, by Israel Horovitz), was dropped after multiple, sexual misconduct allegations against the playwright. Executive Director, Tim Long, says, "We could not in good conscience produce his play. We are saddened by this development, but encouraged by the stories of these brave women." Stage Kiss will run from August 16 through September 15, 2018.

Previews begin tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27, 2018, for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women. Three Tall Women stars two-time Academy Award-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award winner, three-time Emmy Award winner, and 2018 Academy Award nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award nominee Alison Pill. This production is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and produced by Scott Rudin. Three Tall Women will have an official opening night on Thursday, March 29 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES is an amazing country musical with comedy and a talented cast who play their own instruments, telling the story, mostly through song. Dearborn Street. Merrily We Roll Along is based on the play by the same name written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. (March 4 and March 11) and 6 p.m. (February 4, February 11, February 18 and February 25) with a weekday matinee Thursday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. There is no 4 p.m. performance Saturday, Feb. 3 and no 7:30 p.m. performance on Thursday, March 8. The stories are from Lucia Berlin's posthumously published, critically acclaimed, A Manual for Cleaning Women featuring the stories 'Her First Detox', 'Emergency Room Notebook 1977', 'Unmanageable', '502' and 'Here It Is Saturday'. Directed by Nancy Shelby and JoAnne Winter, Lucia Berlin:Stories is set to an evocative jazz score by Marcus Shelby, and illuminated with vibrant projections by Naomie Kremer. Del Shores (playwright of Sordid Lives) returns to Circle Theatre for one day only with his new, one-man show directed by Emerson Collins. Shores proves once again that he is not a writer, but a self-proclaimed thief! In Six Characters In Search Of A Play, Shores is inspired by Pirandello's classic play to bring you six characters inspired by his real-life encounters that haven't quite made it into one of Shores' plays, films or TV shows.

Circle Theatre kicks off its 37th season this January with a change in leadership. Bill Newberry, Co-Founder and Executive Director, retired at the end of December. Managing Director Tim Long is the new Executive Director and Matthew Gray will come on board mid-January as the Theatre's first Artistic Director.

Sixteen emerging screenwriters will come together at Sundance Institute's 2018 Screenwriters Lab, an immersive five-day writers' workshop announced today and taking place at the Sundance Resort in Utah, January 12-17, 2018. The Lab brings independent screenwriters together with accomplished writers, in an environment that encourages the art and craft of writing and creative risk-taking.
