Playwrights Theatre will present two programs during the New Jersey Theatre Alliance Stages Festival. The Stages Festival is a month-long, state-wide celebration of theatre and the performing arts - a project of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and its membership.

A spectacular new production of the American musical SHOW BOAT to dock at Lyric Opera of Chicago Feb. 12 - Mar. 17 starring Ashley Brown, Nathan Gunn, Alyson Cambridge, Morris Robinson, Angela Renée Simpson, Ross Lehman, Cindy Gold, Ericka Mac, Bernie Yvon John DeMain, conductor and Francesca Zambello, stage director.

Deadline.com is reporting that Raven-Symoné, known most for starring on the Disney Channel's THATS SO RAVEN will take over for the Tony and Olivier nominated Patina Miller in Broadway's SISTER ACT. The web site reports that she will begin rehearsals at the end of February, and will debut at the end of March 2012 for a 6 month engagement in the show.

They are joined by ensemble members Francesca Ellis, Felicity Houlbrooke and James Rigby.

Following a sell-out season in 2008, Strictly Gershwin returns to the Royal Albert Hall for 13 performances only from Thursday 9 June - Sunday 19 June 2011.
