Ivan Reitman, who directed and produced some of the most iconic films of the past four decades, including the mega-hits Ghostbusters, Animal House, Stripes, and Dave, will make his first Wizard World appearance in special sessions on Saturday, August 25 at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Reitman, whose dozens of blockbuster credits also include National Lampoon's Animal House, Stripes, Kindergarten Cop, Space Jam, Heavy Metal, Old School, Road Trip, Disturbia, Up in the Air and many others, will sign free autographs for fans during his Wizard World Comic Con Chicago visit, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A with Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson.

A June 13 fire on the roof of the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts has closed the facility until at least June 25, forcing at least two local theatre companies to revise plans for upcoming productions and raising questions about the opening of the next entry in the PNC Broadway in Louisville series. The fire broke out around 2:00pm in an area in which construction crews had been executing repairs on the roof and was brought under control by the Louisville Fire Department within about two hours.

From middle schools, to universities, to regional theatre and beyond, an active audience member can often find at least one theatre in their area presenting INTO THE WOODS in their current season. A show with this much popularity can begin to feel trite, and theatres may struggle to find originality in their own production of this often-told tale.
