The long winter is almost over and the green of spring is showing up all over the Shoreline. But nowhere will it be more Emerald Green that at the Ivoryton Playhouse when the 100th birthday season opens on March 16th with Frank McCourt's perennially popular THE IRISH...AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY. First produced at the Playhouse in 2007, the show was such a tremendous success that extra performances had to be added and we are thrilled to bring it back as part of our Centennial year.

The touring companies of Riverdance and Disney's Beauty and the Beast will visit the Washington Pavilion later this spring. Riverdance will perform one night only on March 22, and Beauty and the Beast will perform April 5-7.

In Ireland, the toe-tapping collegiality of an impromptu living room concert can be summed up in single word: craic. And perhaps no band better exemplifies the essence of craic than Danú. Hailed as a 'spirit-raising concoction' by The Irish Times, this five-member ensemble is among the most charismatic and sophisticated traditional Irish groups working today, known for mixing ancient Irish songs with new additions to the repertoire in concerts that are at once authentic, clever and fun.
