Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a non-profit cultural center located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY, Live Nation, the world's leading live entertainment company, and INVNT, the global live brand storytelling agency, have selected iDEKO to act as the official brand partnerships liaison and concierge for their Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival: Celebrating the golden anniversary at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival event.

On Friday, January 25, 2019, NapaShakes celebrates the birthday of Scotland's Bard: Robert Burns, and the music, food and culture of Scotland, with its first ever Burns Night Supper. Guests will savor the words of Scotland's greatest poet (and a bit of Shakespeare's Macbeth) accompanied by bagpipes and a lively Ceilidh band, plus engaging performances by two acclaimed actors from Britain and Broadway: Jane Carr and Victor Talmadge. The evening includes a delicious Napa Valley-style feast with traditional haggis (meat or vegetarian), neeps and tatties, and other delights in the candle-lit Gallery of St. Helena's Brasswood Napa Valley. The event is for age 21 and older, and attendees are welcome (but not required) to wear kilts and other traditional attire.

South Africa's Ladysmith Black Mambazo was founded in the early 1960s by Joseph Shabalala, then a teenage farm boy living on the lands just outside the small town of Ladysmith, in the province of kwaZulu Natal, halfway between Johannesburg and Durban. Joseph used his hometown's name to honor his family's history. Joseph added to his group's name the word Black in reference to the black oxen, the strongest of all farm animals. Mambazo is the Zulu word for chopping axe, a symbol of the group's vocal ability to clear the path to success.

The Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will present the 28th annual New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF), January 9­-22, 2019. Among the oldest and most influential Jewish film festivals worldwide, the NYJFF each year presents the finest documentary, narrative, and short films from around the world that explore the diverse Jewish experience. Featuring new work by fresh voices in international cinema as well as restored classics, the festival's 2019 lineup includes over 30 wide-ranging and exciting features and shorts from the iconic to the iconoclastic, of which many will be screening in their world, U.S., and New York premieres. Circle Players continues to celebrate of its 2018-19 season with tonight's opening of Hair, the 1969 tribal love-rock musical that made musical theater history with its premiere 50 years ago. Directed by Jason Lewis and choreographed by Tosha Pendergrast, the eagerly anticipated production features a cast of Nashville's favorite actors, with Nicholas Page as Claude.

L.A.-based arranging and composing phenomenon Benjamin Wright will perform with The Philly POPS and his all-star band of musicians on October 20, 2018 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in the show, Experience Benjamin Wright, a Heritage Music Group production.

The United Palace, New York City's 1930's landmark theater turned hub of creative expression and personal growth that fuses culture, spirituality, and entertainment together, will host an interactive program on the emerging field of Social Artistry on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 starting at 9AM. Social Artistry is a state-of-the-art personal training that calls people to become "Social Artists," or leaders who utilize the dedication, skills, and understanding of an artist and apply them to people and societies around them. The interactive program will provide attendees with the tools to engage in meaningful action through deep exploration of society and layers of the human psyche - mind, body, mythic, and spiritual.

I was born in Belfast into a Roman Catholic family. As a child, we lived in a 'mixed area'. I played football with 'Derek', except around the 12th of July, when his mother forbade him to play with the 'wee Fenian'. I knew it had something to do with the Union Jack that flew from their front bedroom window.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today further selections for 2018 NYMF. The final invited production as well as a series of developmental readings and concerts will join the initially announced Next Link Projects. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd St. in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

I was lucky enough to be one of the lucky ones to be in the Broad Stage audience recently when the extraordinary Dance Theatre of Harlem invited Los Angeles audiences, for the first time in way too many years, to join in with them in experiencing the wonders of neo-classical and contemporary ballet that is both of the moment and timeless. The evening's 105-minute program consisted of Brahms Variations, choreographed by Robert Garland (2016), Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven, choreographed by Ulysses Dove (1993) and Vessels, choreographed by Darrell Grand Moultrie (2014), each more enchanting than the last!
