The Light in the Piazza, a romantic, incandescent musical by Craig Lucas (book) and Adam Guettel (music and lyrics) about family secrets and the pursuit of happiness, opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Friday, April 3 at 8PM at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Winner of six 2005 Tony Awards, including Best Original Score, the show runs through April 26, with specially priced previews on April 1 and 2 (7:30PM). Bruce Linser directs.

The 23 young opera singers who have won regional auditions around the United States will compete in the semifinal round of the country's leading vocal competition, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, on Monday, February 24. The closed semifinal competition, held on the Met stage before a panel of judges, will determine the select group of finalists who will advance to the final round of the competition-the Grand Finals, which is open to the public and will be held on the Met stage on Sunday, March 1.

Spanish-born guest conductor José-Luis Novo will make his Palm Beach Symphony debut leading Heavenly Mischief, a Masterworks Series concert featuring the music of Mozart, an overture by 'the Spanish Mozart' Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga and a 'Surprise' by Mozart's friend Franz Joseph Haydn. The concert is held Friday, February 7 at 8 p.m. at Benjamin Hall in Palm Beach Gardens and Saturday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Miramar Cultural Center | ArtsPark.
