THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is celebrating the next generation of jazz with a special concert series this month. During the month of May, The Django welcomes rising stars as part of its new Next Gen Series.

King Princess unveils a new song, “For My Friends,” today alongside a video directed by Nick Harwood. Additionally, King Princess confirms The Hold On Baby Tour, a North American run of headline dates later this year. The new song follows “Little Bother” with Fousheé and a run of tour dates in support of Kacey Musgraves.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced the new release from renowned singer, actress and author Melissa Errico, the  compelling new studio album, Out Of The Dark: The Film Noir Project today Friday, February 18.

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, when the world was locked away in lonely rooms with only old movies to watch at midnight, Errico suddenly returned to one of her life-long obsessions – noir! The genre is noted for its dark, disturbing sensibility of intractable fatalism that Paris existentialists discovered in American film during the 1940’s. Noir continues to run as a mesmerizing, mysterious current through modern movies and music, and Errico has embraced it in her own artistic endeavors.

This March, the 'hilarious production' that 'combines clever comedy and sublime arias' (Daily Express), Mozart's Così fan tutte returns to the English National Opera (ENO). Last staged in 2014, Mozart's dark comic masterpiece that is 'funny, fast and farcical' (What's On Stage), is brought to life by the multi-award winning director and Artistic Director of Improbable, Phelim McDermott.

This year’s world premieres, written by high school students and given a staged professional production, share judgment in the material, mundane and mystical worlds.

France's most thriving musical, 'The Ten Commandments,' releases the first single in English and announces the upcoming U.S premiere.

Sugar Ray by Laurence Holder will have its theatrical premiere January 6 to 23, 2022 at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, presented by 24 Bond Arts Center in association with Faith Steps Productions and performed by AUDELCO-winner Reginald L. Wilson.  The theater's playing area will be transformed into a boxing ring for the production.

The album is the second issue of a multi-volume anthology highlighting string quartet works by historically important Black composers which aims to bring greater awareness and programming of their music.
