Orpheus Chamber Orchestra launches its 44th season with a concert at Carnegie Hall in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Thursday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. Orpheus is joined by award-winning pianist Christian Zacharias-widely known for his interpretations and recordings of Beethoven's works-for Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1.

Evening Star Productions presents GUTENTBERG! THE MUSICAL!

Evening Star Productions will leap even farther back into history, jumping from William Shakespeare (their recent production of A Midsummer Night's Dream played to appreciative audiences for three weeks in August) to Johannes Gutenberg when they produce Anthony King and Scott Brown's Gutenberg!  The Musical! which will open on September 15th, and run through October 2nd at Boca Raton's Sol Theatre.

On June 9, National Sawdust, 80 N. Sixth Street, Brooklyn, will present 'Kaze (The Wind) / Harmonic Constellations,' an evening of two premieres starring Mari Kimura, the renowned violinist/composer who is best known for her use of subharmonics and interactive motion sensor technologies. The evening will offer debut performances of 'Kaze (The Wind),' an audio/visual chamber piece composed by Kimura, and 'Harmonic Constellations,' an entrancing work of microtonal harmonies composed for her by Michael Harrison. It will also unveil µgic, a new digital music controller, and launch two CDs.
