Founder Rosie O'Donnell and Artistic & Executive Director Lori Klinger of Rosie's Theater Kids announce that tickets are now available for purchase to  PASSING IT ON: An Evening of Mentorship taking place on Sunday, April 22 at 7:00 PM at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues).

Blue Note Hawaii welcomes some of music's most renowned artists this month, continuing the Hawaii News Now Jazz Legends series with Tony and GRAMMY (R) Award-winning jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater and epic drummer Billy Cobham. Jazz virtuoso guitarist Earl Klugh returns, jazz fusion saxophonist Boney James and reggae giants Big Mountain close the month. The genre-bending Augie Rey makes his Blue Note Hawaii debut and Tavana returns to the stage by popular demand.

Ken Davenport and Hunter Arnold announced today that the new hit production of Once On This Island will launch a North American tour during the fall of 2019.

Lantern Theater Company continues its 24th season with Michael Frayn's award-winning play Copenhagen. The producers of Broadway's newest hit, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, announced today that Broadway veterans Norm Lewis and Tamyra Gray will step into the roles of Agwe and Papa Ge, respectively, on January 8. Merle Dandridge exits for a contractual leave to shoot her television series Greenleaf. Quentin Earl Darrington will also be on a contractual leave.

Once On This Island begins preview performances this Thursday, November 9th with an official opening on Sunday, December 3rd at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC). Beginning Thursday, November 9, a limited number of $39.50 same-day tickets will be made available prior to each performance of Once On This Island.

Multimedia company Artist Playground presents I Remember A Boy, a musical revue featuring Original Pilipino Music's (OPM) classic hits, on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, at Arts Above (112 West Avenue, Quezon City).

Today's subject, Allen Lee Hughes, is currently living his theater life as lighting designer for Arthur Miller's The Price - his 70thproduction at Arena Stage. The production runs through November 12th in the Kogod Cradle. Mr. Hughes also lit the production also lit the show the last time Arena Stage produced it back in 1994.
