The fourth annual FilmTwo Initiative launches today in LA to support the career sustainability of thirteen artists developing their second features. FilmTwo encompasses two days of focused programming, including a writing workshop (led by Joan Tewkesbury), industry mentoring sessions, and one-on-one story meetings, kicking off a year of tailored creative and tactical support as part of the Institute's continuum of support for artists at key inflection points in their careers. The FilmTwo Initiative is supported by Universal Filmed Entertainment Group.

The US Premiere of BLEACH by Dan Ireland-Reeves will extend through March 30, 2019. This award-winning underground hit, seen throughout the UK as well as in Paris, Stockholm, London and Dublin, made its US premiere in January in an intimate, immersive production performed for an audience of 10.

Casting is announced today for Night of the Living Dead Live, the first ever UK stage adaptation and the only officially authorised production based on George A. Romero's cult zombie classic. The production, directed by Benji Sperring (The Toxic Avenger: The Musical; Shock Treatment, Valley Of Song) will come to life at Pleasance, London from 9 April to 19 May 2019. 

David Gow will join the cast of the US Premiere of BLEACH by Dan Ireland-Reeves beginning March 6. This award-winning underground hit, seen throughout the UK as well as in Paris, Stockholm and Dublin, made its US premiere in January in an intimate, immersive production performed for an audience of 10. Gow will join current performers Eamon Yates and Brendan George, sharing the role of Tyler, a young man trying to find his way while paying the rent in NYC. Audiences are invited to join Tyler at Tyler's Basement in Bushwick, Brooklyn for this dark and humorous look at sex, violence, and city living. Directed by Zack Carey, performances run through March 24.

Ars Nova, "one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies" (New York Times), under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, is proud to announce that tickets are on sale for Mrs. Murray's Menagerie, created by The Mad Ones and Phillip James Brannon, Brad Heberlee, Carmen M. Herlihy and January LaVoy. Directed by Lila Neugebauer, Mrs. Murray's Menagerie kicks-off Ars Nova at Greenwich House and marks The Mad Ones' first production since their critically acclaimed play Miles For Mary.

General Director Ken McConnell and Artistic Director Tobias Picker today announced Tulsa Opera's 72nd season comprising classics such as Bizet's Carmen and Puccini's Madama Butterfly, and a new production of Mr. Picker's 1996 opera Emmeline, to be performed in Oklahoma for the first time, and led by Mr. Picker in his opera-conducting debut.

Production is underway in Salt Lake City, Utah, on the highly anticipated, innovative and re-invented 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' for Disney+, The Walt Disney Company's upcoming streaming service. The series is developed and executive produced by Tim Federle ('Ferdinand'), alongside showrunner and executive producer Oliver Goldstick ('Pretty Little Liars,' 'Ugly Betty'). Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush (the original 'High School Musical' trilogy) are also executive producers. Sundance Film Festival-nominated film, television and music video director Tamra Davis ('Empire,' 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend') is directing the first three episodes. The choreographer is Zach Woodlee ('Glee,' 'Dumplin'').

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announces the full casts for the debbie tucker green's hang; and the world premiere of his production of the new musical Standing at the Sky's Edge with music and lyrics by Richard Hawley and book by Chris Bush.

Tim Bluhm is set to release his new full-length solo album, Sorta Surviving, on March 29, 2019. A gentle departure from his usual California-Soul sound of the Mother Hips, Sorta Surviving finds Bluhm living out his classic country musical dreams. Produced by Widespread Panic's Dave Schools and anchored by all-star band members Jesse Aycock (guitar, vocals) and Jason Crosby (piano, violin, organ), and Nashville session legends Gene Chrisman (drums) and David Roe (bass), Bluhm's new album was recorded at Cash Cabin Studios in Hendersonville, TN. “Recording in that space with those guys was like a dream come true for me,” says Bluhm. “The depth of knowledge they walk around with in their heads is amazing, and you know you can trust the musical choices they're making.” Today, Jambase premiered the video for “Where I Parked My Mind”, an up to date representation of a night on the town and its repercussions. Director Tim Duggan tells Jambase, “People start their night expecting to have the time of their lives and often they try to portray that kind of ecstasy with phones and social media. The Group Rep's Co-Artistic Directors, Larry Eisenberg and Chris Winfield announce the Group Rep's 45th Season (2019) with six eclectic and unique plays: Laundry and Bourbon & Lone Star, two one-act comedies by James McLure, directed by Barbara Brownell (January 25 - March 3),  The Secret of Chimneys, a long lost play by Agatha Christie, directed by Jules Aaron (March 29 - May 5), Avenue Q, the wry, Broadway musical written by Jeff Whitty, Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, directed by Patrick Burke (May 31 - July 7),  Loose Knit, a modern comedy by Theresa Rebeck, directed by L. Flint Esquerra  (August 2 - September 8), Night of the Living Dead, a gripping terror-filled drama based on the George Romero film, adapted by Gus Krieger directed by Drina Durazo (October 4 - November 10), and the beloved farce The Man Who Came to Dinner by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, directed by Bruce Kimmel (December 6, 2019 - January 12, 2020).  The six shows will be performed on the Main Stage, first floor 90 Seat Theatre.
