DreamWrights to Stage World Premiere of PETER PAN AND MARY

This spring, DreamWrights is excited to stage the world premiere of a charming story by local playwright, Paige Hoke, Peter Pan and Mary.  Hoke says she was inspired to write this original play during a children's theatre class she took while working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Arcadia University.

Gurney (also known for Love Letters and The Dining Room), the plot follows what happens after a man going through a midlife crisis finds a dog in Central Park and brings her home without consulting his wife.

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2016-17 season on April 1st at the King Center for the Performing Arts with a musical tribute to three of the biggest names in symphonic music: Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. Leopold Stokowski's romanticized arrangement of Bach's unforgettable Air on the G String opens the program. Living legend and international concert violinist Elmar Oliveira returns to the King Center stage for a performance of Beethoven's epic Violin Concerto. The program concludes with the power and grandeur of the magnificent Symphony No. 4 of Johannes Brahms. This performance, under the baton of Maestro Christopher Confessore, begins at 8:00pm.

Casting and Production Crew Announced for THE LIAR

Casting has been announced for The Liar, David Ives's "translaptation" of Pierre Corneille's 1643 farce of the same name, according to Ed Rutherford, the Promethean Theatre Ensemble artistic associate who is directing the production. The title character, Dorante, a charming young man who cannot tell the truth, will be played by Josh Hambrock. Dorante's love interest Clarice (who he believes to be named Lucrece, the name of her friend who will be played by Katherine Schwartz) will be played by ensemble member Meghann Tabor.
