Lynwood Sims' debut book, "Black Men and the Media" (published by Xlibris), is about doing away with racism and hatred, turning all men and women towards God and love. This book is made to change one's life for the better.

Basically, this book humanizes black men and answers why some black men have allowed this world to brainwash them into self-hatred. Sims addresses all important questions related to being black.

"After seeing what's been going on, God put it in my heart to write about the state of the black man and why so many of us are dehumanizing ourselves, calling one another negative names," the author explains why he wrote this book. "It is because some of us still have that slavery mentality. We allow self-hatred to control our mind, body, and souls. That's what's happening, and without God and education it's going to get worse.

"It ("Black Men and the Media") is real and in your face and it will have you thinking and talking to people about it. My book is direct and to the point," he adds.
