Loghaven Artist Residency, a residency for emerging and established artists in the fields of visual art, dance, music, writing, theater, and interdisciplinary work, announced its first residency awardees from the inaugural Open Call for Applications.

The Museum of Modern Art has announced Neelon Crawford: Filmmaker, an exhibition and Virtual Cinema film series introducing the multimedia artist Neelon Crawford (American, born 1946) to contemporary audiences. Crawford was a member of the New York, San Francisco, and Ohio independent filmmaking scenes from the late 1960s through the early 1980s.

This fall, the High Museum of Art will present 'Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe' (Sept. 3, 2021-Jan. 9, 2022), featuring nearly 60 works drawn from the Museum’s folk and self-taught art collection, which has the largest public holdings of Rowe’s art.

The winners are: The Monster by Chelsea Marcantel, Michael Mahler, and Alan Schmuckler, Oratorio for Living Things by Heather Christian, and TL;DR: Thelma Louise; Dyke Remix by EllaRose Chary and Brandon James Gwinn.

This timely exhibition, part of a series of four exhibitions around the  UK, will explore McFadyen’s ongoing interest in the changing urban landscape, focusing on his  pictures of East London, where he has lived and worked for the past 40 years.
