Movin' Out Photos - US Tour

Tony Award-winning producers Hal Luftig, Cathy Dantchik and Kevin Connor proudly announce the launch of HALCYON THEATRICALS, a new full-service producing and consulting theatrical  company, named for the mythic halcyon bird who could calm the seas and create a time of success, prosperity and  harmony.

This Spotlight focuses on Christine Joëlle, an actress I first saw onstage in the summer of 2004 as Madge Owens in Picnic, directed by Gail Bernardi for Kentwood Players at the Westchester Playhouse. Christine and I went on to work together in many productions for the community theatre group, both onstage and on production teams. Since then, I have been fortunate to follow her path across the stages of professional theatre companies all over town, always enjoying her ability to transform herself into a great variety of characters a?" often during the same show! And I am also a very happy customer of her pet care service, Movin' Paws.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC) presents their Spring Repertory Concert THEN. NOW. ONWARD! April 4-7, 2013 on Thursday - Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm at the Diavolo Dance Space in the Brewery in downtown L.A., located at 616 Moulton Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90031. The concert features new work by L.A. choreographers Arianne MacBean, Lindsey Lollie, and Artistic Director, Kate Hutter. Earlier today banking's Washington Mutual and Broadway's hit musical Movin' Out jointly hosted a live audition for the Washington Mutual's Big Shot Talent Search Contest. The event took place outside the Richard Rogers Theatre on West 45th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue.
