3-D Theatricals (3DT) rings in its 2017-1018 season at both the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center (RBPAC) and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, a musical comedy from the Broadway creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash hit The Producers. The production, with music and lyrics by Brooks and a book by Thomas Meehan, is a hilariously tuneful show based on the 1974 smash hit film Young Frankenstein which was a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. David Lamoureux directs with Corey Hirsch serving as Musical Director and Daniel Smith as Choreographer. BroadwayWorld has just officially learned that Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER will be coming to Broadway's Booth Theatre this fall starring Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian Amy Schumer, Tony-winner Laura Benanti, another Emmy and Peabody Award-winner Keegan-Michael Key, and Alan Tudyk.

MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. MNM Productions' Company will be appearing at the Marshall E. Rinker Playhouse of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts through August 6, 2017.

Earlier this evening, Pittsburgh CLO Guild President Anne Liparulo announced the Guild's pledge of $500,000 to Pittsburgh CLO's Next Generation Campaign at the 62ndAnnual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Gala, "An Evening in Paris." This special gift was presented as a surprise to Van Kaplan, accompanied by the 2017 CLOE Award, in honor of his 20th Anniversary as Executive Producer of the organization. The gift ensures Pittsburgh CLO will surpass its $10 million Next Generation Campaign goal.
