Damian Woetzel continues his innovative interdisciplinary series uniting artists from across fields in a special one-night only performance, March 7 in the Terrace Theater. Part of the inaugural DIRECT CURRENT, the Kennedy Center's two-week celebration of contemporary culture, this installment of the multi-genre series will present recently commissioned works, including a world premiere, and Washington, D.C. premieres by some of today's most creative and groundbreaking voices in dance and music.

Carnegie Hall today announced that Rhiannon Giddens, Toshi Reagon, and Young Paris will join Broadway's Carrie Compere (The Color Purple) as guest artists for A Time Like This: Music for Change, a special concert on Sunday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage hosted by Def Jam Poetry veteran Lemon Andersen and featuring a nineteen-piece band led by Kenny Seymour (Amazing Grace, Memphis). The performance also features singers Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Emily Eagen, and Emeline Michel.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces two performances presented by Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall during the 2018-2019 season. In 2018-2019, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, ACO continues its commitment to the creation, performance, preservation, and promotion of music by American composers, with programming that reflects the infinite ways American orchestral music illustrates geographic, stylistic, gender, and racial diversity. Stage Entertainment has confirmed that due to exceptional public demand over 100,000 new tickets will go on sale today (Friday 26 January 2018) at 12noon GMT for TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner. Officially opening at the Aldwych Theatre on 17 April 2018, with previews beginning on 21 March 2018, the show is now booking to 20 October 2018.

TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, has made a boom at the box office according to The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye. The columnist reported this evening that due to skyrocketing sales at the box office, the musical has released an additional 100,000 tickets for the show. The newly released tickets will extend the run of the show, now booking through October 2018.

MacGillivray Freeman Films today announced that Academy Award-winning actor, Morgan Freeman, will narrate America's Musical Journey,the company's newest 3D documentary for IMAX and giant screen theatres. America's Musical Journey, produced in association with Brand USA and presented by Expedia, will be opening in select museums and institutions beginning February 16 th.
