The Screenwriter's Daughter, a new American play about the life of the illustrious Hollywood icon, Ben Hecht, as seen through the tempestuous relationship between Ben and his free-spirited, young, 60s generation daughter Jenny, will get its European premiere in a five-week season in the Lounge at Leicester Square Theatre from Wednesday 28 October.

"Revealed" by Sofitel, a photography exhibition that takes an intimate look at the world's greatest modern artists at work, will open to the public at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hillson April 15 th and will run through June 30 th, 2015. The 30-plus compelling images were curated by Olivier Widmaier Picasso, grandson of Pablo Picasso and author of Picasso: Portrait Intime, from the collection of French weekly magazine Paris Match. The photos are on display in the hotel's restaurant, bar and lobby.

Anita Darian, a soprano whose four-octave voice earned her the nickname “The Armenian Yma Sumac” and spawned an eclectic 50-year career that ranged from performances with the New York City Opera, Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic to big-band jazz concerts, co-starring roles with Barbara Cook, and hit pop recordings that included “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” is dead at 87. A longtime resident of East Atlantic Beach, L.I., she died Sunday, Feb. 1 at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside of complications from surgery.

Plácido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, has announced the company's 2015/16 season. This will be the 30th season presented by the company, created by Mr. Domingo in collaboration with Richard Seaver Music Director James Conlon and President and CEOChristopher Koelsch. The company's 30th anniversary season will include six mainstage productions and two concerts at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, with a total of 40 performances taking place in that venue, as well as 13 performances presented elsewhere through the company's Off Grand initiative.
