The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® today announces its full programme, featuring a diverse selection of 225 feature films from both established and emerging talent. This 12-day celebration of cinema illustrates the richness of international filmmaking, with films to delight and entertain audiences, and also films that probe and interrogate issues of significance.

In celebration of the upcoming anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which finally extended the right to vote to American women, the Martha Graham Dance Company has announced The EVE Project—a guiding force behind the Company's 2018–19 and 2019–20 seasons. The EVE Project honors not only the progress of women in the last 100 years, but also provides entrée into today's most pressing conversations about gender and power. New works from several female choreographers have been commissioned, and the classic repertory will feature both Martha Graham's heroines and anti-heroines—all with an underlying statement about female power.

Disney•Pixar's all-new “Incredibles 2” kicks off a super-sized campaign this month, featuring 14 incredible family brands, including ADT, Alaska Airlines, American Egg Board, Best Western, Bounty, Chrysler, Clorox, Coppertone, Horizon Organic, Juicy Juice, Kleenex, McDonalds, SleepNumber and Zillow. Directed and written by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille”), and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles,” “Tomorrowland”) and Nicole Paradis Grindle (“Sanjay's Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer), “Incredibles 2” opens in U.S. theaters June 15, 2018.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced programming for its 2018-2019 season of Performances for Young Audiences, featuring trailblazing journeys in theater, music, and dance that will inspire and resonate with audiences of all ages. The Kennedy Center has commissioned and co-commissioned six world premiere works that will bring audiences on expeditions through time and place to Birmingham in the 1960s, through a young man's imagination in present day New York City, and even to the stars and beyond.

Abingdon Theatre Company (Tony Speciale, Artistic Director; Denise Dickens, Producing Director) has announced casting for the first production of its 25th Anniversary main stage season, The Gentleman Caller, a new play by Philip Dawkins (Charm, Le Switch, The Homosexuals).

GI Jews: Jewish Americans in World War II is a feature-length documentary spotlighting the little-known story of the more than 550,000 Jewish Americans who served their country in all branches of the military during World War II. Filmmaker Lisa Ades (American Experience: Miss America) brings the struggles of these brave men and women to life through first-hand experiences that reveal their fight against fascism, as well as their more personal war to liberate loved ones in Europe. After years of battle, these pioneering servicemen and women emerged transformed: more profoundly American, more deeply Jewish, and determined to continue the fight for equality and tolerance at home. GI Jews: Jewish Americans in World War II premieres nationwide on Wednesday, April 11 at 10 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day (April 12). The film will be available to stream the following day on pbs.org and PBS apps.

Town Hall Theatre Company (THT) is excited to announce four powerhouse productions for its 2018/19 Season: LOST & FOUND. Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) is pleased to continue its mini-series celebrating the music of women composers with a concert entitled, The Music of Rebecca Clarke on Friday, March 9th at 7:00 pm.  This free concert will be held at the David Greer Recital Hall at the school's home site at 323 West 108th Street in Manhattan. Seating is limited. Led by BSM piano faculty member Tim McCullough and joined by mezzo soprano Lara Nie and violist Ann Roggen, the program shines a spotlight on the music of the English/American composer Rebecca Clarke and features vocal settings of poems by William Shakespeare and William Blake as well as the epic Viola Sonata.

Director Cambrian James has put together his finest (thus far) staging of the season. On the marvelous arena stage in Gilbert, the tight, swift-paced send up of the classic 1944 film is enchanting, from overture to finale.
