This year's Tony nominations, announced earlier this month, brought a slew of renowned names. Performers such as Kevin Kline (PRESENT LAUGHTER), Nathan Lane (THE FRONT PAGE) and Patti LuPone (WAR PAINT) are no strangers to the Tony Awards, let alone to the Broadway stage.

Two Utah high school performers are on their way to New York City after winning The Chevron Award for Best Actress and Best Actor in the seventh annual Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards held in the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City May 13. Jessica Lewis from DaVinci Academy won for her role as Miriam in 'Fly By Night' and Levi Hopkins from Ridgeline High School won for his portrayal of Gomez Addams in 'The Addams Family.' The new Broadway production of Michael Stewart and Jerry Herman's masterpiece Hello, Dolly!, starring legendary performer Bette Midler, has quickly become the hottest ticket of the year. Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, the production opens tonight, April 20.

To commemorate tonight's official opening of Hello, Dolly! starring Bette Midler on Broadway, Mayor Bill de Blasio will officially proclaim tomorrow, Friday, April 21, 'Dolly Day' in New York City.

This concert features music by Mlle. Levi's friends and contemporaries, composers as Leclair, Marais, Forqueray, Rebel and Couperin, performed by Tina Chancey on five and six-stringed pardessus de viole, John Mark Rozendaal on bass and treble viols, and Webb Wiggins on harpsichord.

Masterworks Broadway has announced the release of The New Broadway Cast Recording of Hello, Dolly! starring three-time Grammy Award-winning legend Bette Midler as Dolly Gallagher Levi.

Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota has announced a broad list of exciting speakers and performers participating in Celebration 2017. Taking place April 20-23 at Prince's historic recording sanctuary outside Minneapolis, the event will honor the life and legacy of the music icon Prince Rogers Nelson. 

Legendary performer Carol Channing has been named the honoree for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.
