On Monday, October 22, at New Jersey Theatre Alliance's annual Curtain Call gala, education leaders of its member theaters were honored, and among them, was East Lynne Theater Company's Education Director, Robert LeMaire. He works with ELTC's interns and directs the Student Summer Workshop. Last year's production was 'Story Theater,' with actors ages 10-14.

Three Tales by Steve Reich, with visuals by Beryl Korot, will open the Long Beach Opera's 40th Anniversary Season, for two performances Saturday, November 3 at 6pm and Sunday, November 4 at 2:30pm at the Ernest Borgnine Theater, Scottish Rite Event Center, in Long Beach, CA. The production is sung in English, and is conducted by Andreas Mitisek. Three Tales will serve as the centerpiece to Long Beach Opera's 40th anniversary Gala, which will take place following the performance on November 3rd.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance ("The Alliance") announced that Linda Kinsey, former Partner at Michael Graves Design Group, and Marshall Jones III, Producing Artistic Director of Crossroads Theatre Company in New Brunswick, have joined its board of trustees. The Alliance is a service organization for the 33 non-profit, professional theatres in New Jersey, supporting them and the theatre-going public with a wide array of services and programs.

Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Directed by STC Associate Artistic Director Alan Paul, whose hit production of Camelot has extended through July 8 due to popular demand, the production will run at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) from August 21-September 2, providing more than 12,000 people the chance to see the play free of charge.

Lauded violinist Gil Shaham returns to New Jersey for Brahms' Violin Concerto. In her first NJSO performances of Mahler's work, Zhang conducts the composer's monumental First Symphony.

Noted American conductor Jason Tramm, whose work in the operatic, symphonic and choral repertoire has merited acclaim in both Europe and north America, will guest conduct Brahms' “Ein deutsches Requiem, Opus 45 in Vocal Productions New York City's Gala Concert. Brahms' masterwork for chorus, orchestra and soloists will take place Sunday April 29th at 6PM, at NYC's historic Church of the Holy Apostles. The collective ensemble of musicians and singers from the greater New York/New Jersey metro area, who will include Julianna Milin, soprano and baritone Hyung Joo Eom, have gathered to perform this concert as volunteers in support of Vocal Productions New York City's artistic mission and its founder, the critically acclaimed opera singer Valentin Peytchinov.
