A Make It Happen Production presents John Patrick Shanley's comic romance Italian American Reconciliation which features veteran actress Lori Triolo and Luciana Carro. Directed by Ivette Dumeng.

Cinema/Chicago today announced its annual free Summer Screenings Program with a selection of 17 feature films and one short film from around the world exploring the theme of adventure. All screenings are free and open to the public and take place on Wednesdays at 6:30pm from May 29 through October 2, 2019 at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington Street, 2nd Floor) in the Claudia Cassidy Theater. Summer Screenings is presented by Cinema/Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and 17 consulates and cultural institutions from around the city. Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) presents "Defiance" by John Patrick Shanley, directed by BTE Ensemble Member Kurt Naebig, Jan. 31-March 3. There will be a preview Thursday, Jan. 31. Press opening is Friday, Feb. 1.

Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.

The producers of WEST SIDE STORY have confirmed full casting for the new Broadway production.

New York Stage & Film and Vassar have completed casting for the new workshop production of DEFIANCE (formerly called CHAIN OF COMMAND) to be presented July 29, 30 and 31 at Vassar College.

Doubt is author John Patrick Shanley's first play to be produced on Broadway, and is nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play.
