The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces the biennial festival New Visions/New Voices from May 15-17, 2020, marking the 16th showcase of this industry workshop. Dedicated to the development of new plays and musicals for young people and their families, this innovative series pioneers a unique and vital forum for the field of Theater for Young Audiences (TYA).

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is proud to announce that for the 29th year, its award-winning WRITE A PLAY program will encourage young students to open their minds, envision new possibilities, and write down their remarkable ideas. This year, FST's WRITE A PLAY program will reach over 47,000 children in over 45 schools across the state of Florida. The program is a year-round arts-in-education initiative, providing students with the example, the inspiration, and the skills to write their own original plays.

The Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC), a nonprofit cultural arts center and one of the most successful suburban film houses in the country, announced today that its 18th annual gala, Celebrating Trailblazers, will honor three talented pioneers on Tuesday, Sept. 24 with dinner designed and catered by Blue Hill.

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. Boston Court Pasadena continues its mission of fostering new musical talent with the 3rd Annual Emerging Artists Series, May 30 June 9, 2019. The series will feature up-and-coming pianists, as well as vocalists who have been through a rigorous mentoring curriculum with some of Los Angeles' most prominent musicians and coaches including Mark Robson, Gloria Cheng, Lisa Sylvester, Vicki Ray, Brent McMunn and Paul Floyd.

The Downtown Urban Arts Festival today announced its 2019 artist line-up for the 17th annual multi-disciplinary arts festival showcasing music, poetry, live theater and film.
