In HIM, hunky actor Nick Cooper has just landed his breakthrough film role and the offers from Hollywood's A-list are pouring in. The only problem: Nick is gay and his viper of an agent wants to keep him in the closet. Nick is happy to play along in spite of the vocal opposition of his boyfriend. But all hell breaks loose when a Latina bombshell is brought in to "play" Nick's girlfriend.

I'll spare you any idioms regarding the distance between apples and trees while examining the newest work of Daisy Foote, the playwright who carries on the lineage of one of America's treasured dramatist, the late Horton Foote.  But comparison is inevitable as the daughter's most recent work has a similar voice to that of her father; just differently accented.

HIM, written and directed by Clifford Streit, played its final performance at SoHo Playhouse on Saturday, March 24. Previews began March 10 and opening was March 21. It played 11 previews and 3 regular performances.

After premiering at Cherry Lane Studio Theater in December, HIM returns for an open-ended Off-Broadway engagement beginning March 10 at Soho Playhouse . Written and directed by Clifford Streit, this comedy about homophobia in Hollywood stars Jon Fleming (Dante's Cove, Will & Grace). Opening is set for March 21. HIM is also currently in development as a TV series.
