The Broadway community mourns the loss of celebrated playwright, actor and novelist Sam Shepard, who, as BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, passed away on Thursday, July 27th at age 73. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York were dimmed in his memory yesterday, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Guests came together to pay tribute to the rich and varied body of work of David Henry Hwang, with special participation from B.D.
