Producer Mark Cortale has announced this week that Jessie Mueller, Tony Award winner for 'Beautiful - The Carole King Musical' and most recently a Tony-nominee in Sarah Barielles' 'Waitress,' will make her P-Town debut for the Broadway @ Town Hall summer concert series in Provincetown on September 3 at 6:30pm with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host.

This month, playwright Joan Beber, will premiere her newest play DEAR JANE beginning tonight, July 18, at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 W 42 Street) and will open on July 26 and run through August 26, 2017.

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which began performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. San Francisco Ballet announces ten promotions, eight new Company members, and six apprentices for the 2017-18 Season. Soloist Jennifer Stahl has been promoted to principal dancer, and Isabella DeVivo, Jahna Frantziskonis, Esteban Hernandez, and Steven Morse have been promoted to soloist. In addition, SF Ballet Apprentices Alexandre Cagnat, Shene Lazarus, Davide Occhipinti, Nathaniel Remez, and Isabella Walsh have been promoted to the corps de ballet. Ulrik Birkkjaer and Ana Sophia Scheller join the Company as principal dancers and Solomon Golding, Gabriela Gonzalez, Blake Johnston, Madison Keesler, Wona Park, and Joseph Warton have joined SF Ballet as corps de ballet members. Ethan Chudnow, Anatalia Hordov, Carmela Mayo, Swane Messaoudi, Larisa Nugent, and Benjamin Pearson of San Francisco Ballet School have been promoted to the rank of apprentice.

The 71st Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 11th at 8/9c hosted by Kevin Spacey. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize...

This summer, SF Ballet will return to Festival Napa Valley for one performance only on Friday, July 21, 2017, accompanied by members of the SF Ballet Orchestra. In addition, this October, the Company will once again participate in World Ballet Day LIVE, a day-long streaming event (details to be announced).

Two-time Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest (Hannah and Her Sisters, Bullets over Broadway) plays Winnie, widely considered modern drama's pinnacle female role, alongside Jarlath Conroy, who plays Willie, directed by Yale Repertory Theatre Artistic Director James Bundy.

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster musical comedy, Young Frankenstein. Presented by Centenary University and Centenary Stage Company's all student NEXTStage Repertory,Young Frankenstein will run April 27 through May 7 in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Performance Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University.
