NYK Productions is happy to announce that 'FOREVER TANGO' will be at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium on February 9th and 10th. Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango inhabits a world where everything can be said with the flick of a leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot and the arch of an eyebrow. Created and directed by Luis Bravo, FOREVER TANGO was voted Best Touring Musical by Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle in San Francisco where it played an unprecedented 92 weeks at the Theater on the Square and has returned season after season. Truly an international event, FOREVER TANGO was awarded the coveted Simpatia Prize at the 1996 Spoleto Festival in Italy.

The 20th Anniversary World Tour for FOREVER TANGO will kick off at the Emblematic Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco this Holiday Season (Dec. 22to Dec. 31) with multiple cities and dates across America including LosAngeles, Seattle, LasVegas, and then moving on to Mexico, Canada, Europe and Arab Emirates among many other cities worldwide.

Acclaimed rising star director Thom Southerland (Titanic, Grey Gardens, Grand Hotel) is to direct the first ever revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony and Olivier Award-nominated musical The Woman in White.

Tickets for Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota's 22nd season will be available online beginning July 15 at www.artistseriesconcerts.org. '[Thank you] to an incredible cast of British and American actors who make the Atlantic look like a little creek you can just kind of pop across,' said Dame Helen Mirren upon receiving her 2015 Tony Award. The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway.  An unprecedented amount of British talent took over Broadway last year, bringing us such productions as THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, and SKYLIGHT.   It doesn't seem like the trend is ending anytime soon. This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Maureen Moynihan, has announced the rotating casts for the New York premiere of DEAR ELIZABETH, the inaugural production at the WP's new theatrical home the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, 2162 Broadway (at 76th Street).

Luis Bravo's FOREVER TANGO, the internationally celebrated  entertainment event that has been seen throughout Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia, will beguile and ignite San Francisco audiences at San Francisco's newly remodeled Herbst Theatre for a strictly limited three-week engagement - December 20, 2015 - January 10, 2016. Starring Anna Trebunskaya and Dimitry Chaplin of 'Dancing with the Stars' - and featuring vocals by Marcela Rios -  FOREVER TANGO features 12 world-class tango dancers and an on-stage 11-piece orchestra anchored by the bandoneon - the accordion-like instrument that is the mainstay of tango music - in an evening that celebrates the passionate music and dance of Argentina.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

Among them, the company can claim 18 Tony Awards, 4 Pulitzer Prizes, 6 Pulitzer finalist distinctions, 3 Emmy Awards, and 2 Academy Awards; to list all their honors would take several pages.

Luis Bravo's internationally acclaimed Forever Tango has played to great acclaim in Europe, Canada and throughout the United States, and most recently, enjoyed its third run on Broadway. The McCallum Theatre Luis Bravo's Forever Tango for three performances -Saturday, January 11, at 8:00pm and Sunday, January 12, at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Forever Tango opened on Broadway in June of 1997 for what was expected to be an eight-week engagement. It ran for 14 months and has since been back to Broadway on two separate occasions. I had the opportunit to chat with Mr. Bravo about his upcoming engagement at The McCallum Theatre and more. Here are a few excerpts ffrom thea conversation.

'Luis Bravo's Forever Tango,' an evening celebrating the passionate music and dance of Argentina, will scorch the Gallo Center for the Arts stage at 8 pm on Friday, January 10. The celebrated production, which has appeared on Broadway on three occasions, features 14 dancers, one vocalist and an on-stage 11-piece orchestra which includes 'the instrument of the tango,' the bandoneon.

Broadway In Chicago and Producers Steven Van Zandtand Maureen Van Zandt, Marc Brickman, and Base Entertainment, have announced that following a critically acclaimed, sold-out Broadway engagement, ONCE UPON A DREAM STARRING THE RASCALS will debut in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph) from tonight, Nov. 5 - 10, 2013 for five performances only.
