FOREVER TANGO Plots San Francisco Return

By:

Luis Bravo's FOREVER TANGO, the internationally celebrated entertainment event that has been seen
throughout Europe, North America,
South America, Asia, and Australia, will

beguile and ignite San Francisco audiences at San Francisco's newly remodeled Herbst Theatre for a strictly limited three-week engagement - December 20, 2015 - January 10, 2016. Starring Anna Trebunskaya and Dimitry Chaplin of "Dancing with the Stars" - and featuring vocals by Marcela Rios - FOREVER TANGO features 12 world- class tango dancers and an on-stage 11- piece orchestra anchored by the bandoneo?n - the accordion-like instrument that is the mainstay of tango music - in an evening that celebrates the passionate music and dance of Argentina.

Tickets for FOREVER TANGO range in price from $25 - $85. VIP tickets are available for $125 and include a meet-and-greet with Trebunskaya and Chaplin (90 minutes after the performance), preferred seating and a FOREVER TANGO CD. All tickets can be purchased now online at cityboxoffice.com , by phone at (415) 392- 4400 or in person at the City Box Office [180 Redwood St. Ste. 100].

"San Francisco has one of the most vibrant and active tango scenes outside of Buenos Aires," says Luis Bravo, creator and director of FOREVER TANGO. "Ever since our first engagement in 1994, FOREVER TANGO has captured the hearts and passion of the San Francisco Bay Area. We look forward to our return engagement this December!"

Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango inhabits a world where everything can be said with the flick of a leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot and the arch of an eyebrow. Hailed as "a must-see!" by the New York Times, FOREVER TANGO was voted "Best Touring Musical" by Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle in San Francisco where it played an unprecedented 92 weeks at the Theatre on the Square and has returned season after season. Truly an international event, FOREVER TANGO was also awarded the coveted Simpatia Prize at the 1996 Spoleto Festival in Italy. FOREVER TANGO opened on Broadway in June of 1997 for what was expected to be an eight- week engagement, ran for 14 months and has since performed on Broadway on three separate occasions.

The dances, performed to original and traditional music, are the result of collaboration between each couple and Luis Bravo.

The design team for FOREVER TANGO includes Argemira Affonso (Costumes), Luis Bravo (Lighting), Mike Miller (Sound), and Jean-Luc Don Vito (Make-up). Eduardo Miceli serves as Musical Director/Arranger and composed some of the music in the show.
