DHX Media, a leading global children's content and brands company, has received an order to produce 26 more episodes of the hit animated comedy series, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, with Sony Pictures Animation, in association with Corus Entertainment. The series, which is produced at DHX Media's Vancouver animation studio, recently received eight Canadian Screen Awards nominations, including a nod for Best Animated Program or Series.

Beginning January 12, L.A. Theatre Works commemorates the anniversary with a touring production of the internationally acclaimed play, The Mountaintop, written by Katori Hall, directed by multiple award-winner Shirley Jo Finney and starring Gilbert Glenn Brown (CBS TV's The Inspectors, upcoming feature film The Best of Enemies) and Karen Malina White (The Cosby Show, A Different World, Malcolm and Eddie). The production will travel to 38 cities across the United States.

As part of the second Women's Voices Theater Festival, Shakespeare Theatre Company presents the world-premiere production of Noura, a new play written by award-winning playwright and performer Heather Raffo (Nine Parts of Desire). Directed by Joanna Settle and featuring Raffo in the titular role, the play will run at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) February 6 March 11, 2018.
