There has been buzz about the Public's starry INTO THE WOODS making the transition from Shakespeare in the Park to Broadway, as HAIR and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE did in recent seasons, but today producer Joey Parnes tells the New York Times that due to scheduling conflicts, the production will not transfer.

Approximately one in four Broadway shows will be profitable, and in a bid to join those ranks, the producers of several upcoming shows have delayed their opening nights on Broadway to work on improving the show and to raise additional funds.

This past year proved to be an exciting one for theatre in New Orleans, especially with the Broadway Across America tours that made their temporary homes in the Mahalia Jackson Theater. Up next in 2013, the Mahalia Jackson Theater will host Jersey Boys, Flashdance, Million Dollar Quartet, and Wicked. Also in 2013, Seth Rudetsky will host a concert series at NOCCA featuring Broadway Talents Patti LuPone, Sutton Foster, Megan Mullally, Audra McDonald, and Betty Buckley. The full cast for the London revival of A Chorus Line has now been confirmed.

According to the Daily Mail, after an open audition, Alice Jane Murray of Kent has been cast as 'Lois', and Marc Leslie will play the role of 'Roy' in the London Palladium production of A Chorus Line. Casting is now complete and rehearsals have begun to prepare for the show's February 19th opening.

The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken.
