Wajatta - the new group formed by beat-boxer/comedian/musician Reggie Watts and electronic music artist/DJ/producer John Tejada - offers Casual High Technology, its first album, on May 11, 2018 via Comedy Dynamics. Hudson, Executive Director) 2018 Spring Fling benefitting their Free Student Matinee Program will take place tonight, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 6:00 pm. The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Karen Zacarias's Native Gardens, which was developed in the Globe's 2017 Powers New Voices Festival. Edward Torres (the Globe's Water by the Spoonful) directs this uproarious new comedy, playing May 26 - June 24, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run May 26-30. Opening night is Thursday, May 31 at 8:00 p.m.

Seattle Public Theater announced today the four shows selected for its 2018-19 Mainstage Season: #CONFRONTINGAMERICA. Featuring four productions in the company's intimate 165-seat Bathhouse Theater, the season includes the regional premiere of Tanya Saracho's national sensation FADE; the world premiere of 2017 Emerald Prize winner FIRE SEASON by Aurin Squire; DRY LAND, "a shocking but honest portrayal of teenage crisis" by Ruby Rae Spiegel; and THE CALL by Tanya Barfield, which tackles the complex issues that accompany adoption across cultures.

White Castle, America's first hamburger fast-food chain, has announced a special new partnership with Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, Gilmarie. The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.
