Pop artist, Yasar, will play at The Jolly Joker on Oct. 4. Yasar's first acquaintance with music began when he entered the orchestra of the freshman high school. And gave little concerts at school. He performed for the first time on Teachers' Day. In 1987, he came to Istanbul to study Business Administration at Marmara University, where he became interested in poetry seriously. After graduating from Marmara University, he completed his master's degree in International Finance at Istanbul University.

As rehearsals begin, casting is announced for the West End transfer of the National Theatre and Theatr Clwyd's critically acclaimed co-production of Home, I'm Darling, a new play by Laura Wade, directed by Theatre Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, featuring Katherine Parkinson, which begins performances at the Duke of York's Theatre on 26 January.

The Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts (SBCPA) celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the completion of the historic Granada Theatre Restoration Project, and recognizes the vast and diverse programming and performances that have taken the stage at the new theater. Based on feedback from the eight organizations that would become The Granada Theatre's resident companies, the goal of the Renovation Project was to build an extraordinary performance hall that would exceed the needs of the Santa Barbara region's performing arts companies for the next century to come. In May, New Conservatory Theatre Center presents the musical extravaganza Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly. Told in high school he'd be big in show biz only 'when pigs fly,' Howard follows his heart anyway and creates the musical revue of his dreams. What they didn't know was he has a special talent to transform the most mundane objects - from shower curtains to garden hoses - into a showstopping costume spectacle. You can't help but pig out on this gleefully subversive over-the-top musical.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the complete cast of the world-premiere production Amy and the Orphans, by Roundabout Underground alumna Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone), with direction by eight-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis (She Loves Me, On the Twentieth Century).

Robin Hood and his unmerry gang of cutthroats steal from the rich, but it never occurs to them to give back.
