He's performed at Carnegie Hall four times, as well as the United Nations and the Smithsonian Institute, and pianist Richard Glazier is no stranger to the Harris Center stage. He returns to Folsom in March to perform two special concerts celebrating the release of his new recording, Pure Imagination - Great Songs from the Stage and Screen, which was recorded at the Harris Center in summer 2018. Featuring popular songs from the Great American Songbook, such as "People," "Stardust," "Send in the Clowns," "I've Got a Crush on You," the recording features soprano Robin Fisher, who will join Mr. Glazier on stage. "Relaxed, tender and carefully voiced" (New York Times), "Richard Glazier's thoughtful performance captures his intimate charm with suppleness and sensitivity" (Fanfare). The Harris Center is proud to welcome Richard Glazier back to Folsom.

This weekend at Veterans Memorial Auditorium, the Festival Ballet Providence danced MIRRORS, which is really three short modern ballets- 1934's 'Serenade' with music by Tchaikovsky and choreography by George Ballentine; 'Coma' with music by Arvo Part and choreography by Viktor Plotnikov from 2007; and 'Smoke and Mirrors' from 2016 with music by Lucas Vidal and choreography by Yury Yanowsky. Right now, my spell check is going crazy. 'The concept of reflection inspired this program,' said Mihailo (Misha) Djuric, Artistic Director of FBP, adding, 'Each ballet highlights the dynamic nature of contemporary choreography. By combining these three different pieces, we hope to introduce new audiences to the emotional and transformative power of dance.' When Festival Ballet performs, pay attention-it's a limited time offer.

I do have the movie soundtrack in my iTunes and the soundtrack of 'The Wiz Live!' is on Apple Music, so let's dive in.

Blockchain Theater Project (BTP), founded by Sofia Alvarez and Nicola Korzenko, is a new theater company that empowers artists to produce the work they create, funded in part by cryptocurrency donations. Like Bitcoin and other blockchains, BTP eliminates the institutional gatekeeper, creating a peer-to-peer model of support where the next play to be produced will be nominated by the playwright of the current production. Alvarez's NYLON will start this chain.

The Ringwald Theatre is always throwing surprising twists at their audiences and this holiday season is no different. Taking a break from their usual SantaLand Diaries, they are ready to bring on the laughs with Merry Christmas to Everyone! (Except Christina), a brand-new play - think of it as a Mommie Dearest Christmas - the perfect Christmas spoof we never knew we needed until now! It weaves together Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, A Christmas Carol, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mommie Dearest, and your other gay and/or Christmas favorites. It's a big gay Christmas gift from your favorite Ferndale theatre that is directed by Dyan Bailey and stars Joe Bailey as Joan Crawford, Richard Payton as The Ghosts, Brandy Joe Plambeck as Christina Crawford, and Kevin Kaminski as Christopher Crawford. BroadwayWorld Detroit had a chance to speak with founders and married couple of The Ringwald Theatre, Joe Bailey and Brandy Joe Plambeck, to discuss the theatre, the show, and campy twists that everyone always expects from The Ringwald - the best part about the interview, BWW Detroit spoke with them each separately, so it was really fun to see where they think alike and differ!
