The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural institution, today announced Crossing The Line Festival 2018, featuring leading international artists in a wide-ranging program of events, performances, and exhibitions from September 18 to October 13, 2018. The Anchoress, a new monodrama by composer David Ludwig, "a composer with something urgent to say" (Philadelphia Inquirer), will have its world premiere on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia under the auspices of the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. The next evening, Thursday, October 18, the New York premiere will take place at DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Set to texts by Katie Ford, whose poetry "possess[es] the veiled brilliance of stained glass windows seen at night" (The New York Times Book Review), The Anchoress is based on the medieval mystic tradition called anchorism and its relationship to contemporary society. It will be performed by soprano Hyunah Yu, the early music ensemble Piffaro: The Renaissance Wind Band, and all-saxophone PRISM Quartet.

Legends, myths and facts are all part of the Palace Theater story told during  monthly tours of this grand venue.    Tours are ninety minutes* and are conducted by Palace Ambassadors who are trained volunteers in the theater's history, architecture and lore.  Admission is $5.00 per person and can be purchased online at www.palacetheaterct.org, by phone at 203-346-2000, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main St. in Waterbury. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Disney Theatrical Productions and Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 13. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, September 12 for a limited two week engagement through Sunday, September 23 as the premier of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2018/2019 season.

Following record-breaking sales in the UK, Rock and Roll legend Roy Orbison returns to the stage on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at Atlanta's Fox Theatre. Center Stage Jackson is excited to announce the BBQ Cook-Off for Sound Fundraiser, to be held July 21st, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at 308 Brass Rail in Jackson (308 Prospect, Jackson MI 49203). Local businesses and organizations will be cooking up their best barbecue and sides for the public to judge. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase new microphones and audio equipment for Center Stage Jackson.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its second Main Stage production, Titus Andronicus. Resident Director Brian B. Crowe will helm this rarely produced Shakespearean tragedy. STNJ veteran Bruce Cromer will play the title role; Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli and returning company members Vanessa Morosco and Benjamin Eakeley will play leading roles amongst a cast of 20 actors that also includes young artists from the Theatre's renowned Summer Professional Training Program.

The Atlanta Pride Committee and The LGBT Institute at The National Center for Civil and Human Rights are proud to partner with the Fox Theatre to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the legendary Stonewall Riots, which became a watershed moment for the LGBTQ civil and human rights movement in America. This first-of-its kind event in Atlanta features a comedy show with Wanda Sykes and Tig Notaro at the Fox Theatre today, June 20 at 8 p.m. The celebration continues with a drag show and performance by the legendary rock band Blondie on Friday, June 22 at 8 p.m. at the Fox Theatre. Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces the casting for the first production of the 2018 Nutmeg Summer Series: 'Disaster!', the hilarious new musical straight from Broadway. CRT welcomes the co-writing team of the show, as Jack Plotnick will direct and three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky will reprise the role he originated on Broadway (Ted Schneider). The Fox Theatre presents, President Bill Clinton at the Cobb Energy Centre today, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. for a wide-ranging conversation as he discusses his forthcoming novel, The President is Missing (on-sale June 4). The event is a part of a book tour in connection with the publication of The President is Missing. President Clinton will travel across North America, during which he will offer candid insights into the process and research of the novel, as well the timely and alarming issues it raises about the world.
